Zhuhai Agricultural Park, the first National Agricultural Park in the Pearl River Delta, will be landscaped into Taiwan Farmers Venture Park beginning this year, further energizing the city's rural development achievements.

The park is situated in the heart of the popular Taiwan Farmers Venture Park in Pingsha Town, Gaolan Port Economic Zone. According to the conceptual design , the core area will occupy 900 mu (60 hectares, 148 acres) as part of the Agricultural Sci-Tech Innovation Base in Phase II. The cost is listed as 500 million yuan ($71 million), three-fifths to be funded by the government.

An upgraded form of agricultural tourism, an agricultural park is intended to preserve living areas for native people by providing gardens and ecological rural landscapes. Such a park promotes a spectator farming culture, and demonstrates industrialized and modernized agricultural production.

Proposed functional zones include Vanilla Flower Field, Rainbow Farmland, Plant Maze, Tropical Grove, Pet Amusement Park, Starry Night Fair, Aftertaste Restaurant, and Rural Memory and Dreamlike Flower Fragrance halls.

Zhuhai Agricultural Park will have an emphasis on ecological farming under hi-tech support. It also will promote leisure tourism by way of agricultural sightseeing, popular science, buyer-picking, scientific research, shopping, and entertainment. The park is to become a countryside agricultural tourism destination in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hi-Tech Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Zone of Guangdong Province, and significant node for All-for-One Tourism in Zhuhai.

The entire 45,000-mu (3,000-hectare, 7,413-acre) Zhuhai Taiwan Farmers Venture Park is a National Modern Agricultural Park established by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and Ministry of Agriculture in 2008. The core area covers 7,655 mu (510 hectares, 1,260 acres) but it spreads over a full 37,000 mu (2,467 hectares, 6,096 acres).

Located there are 26 enterprises engaged in characteristic Taiwan fruits, tropical orchids, seed industry, and ecological sightseeing. Open for visits are Taiwan Famous Quality Fruit & Vegetable Picking Base, Taiwan Fragrant Water Lily Corridor, Agricultural Science Popularization Education Bases, Horticultural Crop Breeding Demonstration Base, Happy Ranch, Seed industry Exposition Park, plus Taiwan Orchid, Taiwan-Themed Characteristic Agricultural Products, Cutting-Edge Agricultural Science & Technology, and Modern Fishery exhibition halls.

The first Taiwan venture park in Guangdong, it is also the Zhuhai sub-center of the Guangdong Modern Seed Industry Development Center, National Crop Seed Reserve & Breeding Base, National Teenager Popular Agricultural Science Demonstration Base, and National Leisure Agriculture & Rural Tourism Demonstration Site.
