The Monkey King heralds Zhuhai Opera House return
Zhuhai Opera House on Yeli Island will present The Monkey King on July 12, its first performance following months of shut-down due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The 90-minute original 3D animation show will open at 7:30 pm. Families with children can also listen to the soundtrack of classic Chinese and foreign animation films, parent-child interactive concert Rhythm Boom Boom, symphonic concert of audiovisual works of Joe Hisaishi and Miyazaki Hayao, 3D children's play Way to Go, Seer! and multimedia fairytale musical Finding Nemo.

For violin enthusiasts, Ludwig van Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata will be performed by Ning Feng, first-prize winner of the 2006 International Violin Competition "Premio Paganini" and first full-mark graduate of the Royal College of Music of the UK, in honor of the 250th anniversary of the greatest musical genius of all time.
As precautions, spectators must buy tickets in advance online at WeChat account zhdjypwgj with real-name information including name, mobile phone number, and passport or ID number. Present the ticket, Guangdong health QR code, and ID documents at the entrance, while cooperating with registration and body temperature measurements. Those with temperatures above 37.2 degrees Celsius will be barred from entry and their tickets will be refunded.
Inside the opera house, seats are safely separated so that spectators can stay more than 1.5 m (5 ft) apart to ensure social distancing.
As a further precaution, a fire emergency drill was held July 3.
