Sumlodol Hengqin Camping Town

Sumlodol Hengqin Camping Town at the base of Small Hengqin Mt is the first-ever high-end multi-functional recreational vehicle (RV) campground in China. It met Construction & Service Specifications of Leisure Camping Sites in February 2018 and was selected as a National Standard Pilot & Test Base.

Developed by State-owned Da Heng Qin Pan-Tourism Development, the family-oriented leisure camp town covers 28 hectares (69 acres) on northwest Hengqin Island and fronting the Maliuzhou Watercourse to the north. It presents a accommodations, amusements, outdoor sports, outward development, and specialty delicacies for a multi-faceted experience.

Forty-eight lots contain recreational vehicles, cabins, ship containers, tents, and other facilities to accommodate 140 simultaneously. In addition, 18 RVs are furnished and have electrical appliances, simple kitchens, and cribs. Some have overhead skylights.

Catering to families, each living unit has an individual courtyard for barbeques, bonfires, and outdoor parties with nearby pirate-themed rides suitable for all ages. Ten parking stalls are reserved for private motorhomes with convenient access to water and electricity.

Overnighters may choose from an additional 200 camping units of various styles and models on the hillside, by the river, or in the fields of Small Hengqin Mt. Star, Sunshine, and Warble are set beside pillow at Starry Field and Galaxy Landing. Primitive savagery can be found at Adventure Tribe, and childlike dreams are waiting at Fairy City.

Sumcheetah, a 65,000-sq-m (16-acre) no-power-type amusement facility opened in July 2019 -- the largest of its kind in Asia. It offers nearly 100 imported entertainments not driven by external energies such as electricity, and is said to lead Asia in investment, variety of amusement devices, and ways to play.
