Guyuan Museum to close two years for renovations
The Guyuan Museum of Art closes as of Saturday, Sept 12 for two years of renovation and expansion, during which exhibits will be displayed at other Zhuhai galleries.
Floorage of the museum will grow from 8,161 (2 acres) to 20,005 sq m (5 acres). There will be eight ordinary halls and one 10 m (11 yd) in height that is capable of hosting highest-level international exhibitions.
Located on East Meihua Road near Sihxi Park at the foot of Fenghuang Mt, the museum contains hundreds of woodcuts, sketches, and watercolor paintings in memory of Chinese woodprint maestro Gu Yuan, who was born in Nazhou Village, Tangjiawan.
