A high-end garden-styled hotel complex will come under construction this month north of Xiangshan Lake Park Phase I, intended to bring Zhuhai more on par in world-renowned hotels with other coastal travel destinations.

The 76,825-sq-m (19-acre) Xiangshan Lake Hotel east of Jianmin Road in New Xiangzhou is being financed by Xiangzhou Zhengfang Holdings. With floor area of 77,119 sq m (19 acres), it is to have an exhibition zone and stand-alone guesthouses in the first phase, and a multi-story hotel section in the second. Also in the plans are landscapes, an underground parking lot, and support facilities.

The five-star Xiangshan Lake Hotel will be operated by at least one of the world-renowned hotel management enterprises recognized by the Xiangzhou District People's Government: Four Season, Capella, Mandarin Oriental, Waldorf, The Peninsula Hotels, Diao Yu Tai, Langham, or Park Hyatt.

There currently are few premium hotels in harmony with mountain and water landscapes in the central urban area, which normally attracts many out-of-town tourists. The new lodgings will address the shortage of tourism facilities for Xiangshan Lake Park, which has become an increasingly popular scenic spot.
