Twenty pairs of trains (11 during routine hours and nine at peak times) were added on Zhuhai Airport Urban Rail Transit Phase I when a new national schedule went into effect Oct 11.

Now up to 30 pairs of Gongbei-Hengqin Chimelong bullet trains run on schedules between 6:53 am and 9:25 pm.

An extension of Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity MRT, the 39.5-km (24.5-mile) Zhuhai Airport Urban Rail Transit began operating Aug 18. Ten pairs of trains were available each day to cover a 16.86-km (10.5-mile) section during the initial operation period. One ran from Chimelong to Guangzhou South in the evening.

Phase II, to be completed by early 2023, will cover 22.8 km (14.2 miles) from Chimelong to the terminus station at Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport.

In addition to Zhuhai Airport Urban Rail Transit, bullet train C9124 from Zhuhai to Foshan West has been added during peak times, while C7780 between Zhuhai and Guangzhou South has been extended to Foshan West.
