Activity zones open at biggest new Jinwan public park
The first phase of newly developed Jinhu Park near Golden Gulf Golf Club has opened to visitors with several functional zones for leisure activities.
The largest civic park in Jinwan District borders Jinwan Road in the east, Shuanghu Road in the west, and faces Sanzao Bay. In eastern Aviation New Town, it covers 276.45 hectares (683 acres) of which 87.45 hectares (216 acres) are land and 189 hectares (467 acres) are water.
Archway Square Zone dominates the main entrance off Jinwan Road. Sea views lie to the east while the park panorama can be commanded in the west. The square has a flower field, arboreal forest, and several crane-shaped trees that echo local culture.

Nearby Ecological Wetland Zone has a winding creek that connects green space, forests, and flower fields. Its canna lilies, irises, and yellow iris (iris pseudacorus, yellow flag iris) are currently in full bloom.
The Tree Matrix Square Zone off Chengxiang Road holds a lawn planted with Cunan royal palms (roystonea regia), camphor, and maples. Lying against the tree matrix is the Lakeside Leisure Zone for camping, picnic, and other parent-child activities.
Two lakes of different sizes are separated by a terminal at the Inner Lake Leisure Zone where visitors can stroll or go boating. Construction of a neo-Chinese-style rest station will be completed soon.
A 1.6-km (1-mile) circular running track follows the Lakeside and Inner Lake leisure zones, while a promenade track connects the tree matrix and wetland across two lakes. Dedicated lanes for electric and gas vehicles are also available.
The park is envisioned as an integration of sightseeing, fitness, ecological science popularization, and healthcare supported by rest stations and toilettes with a second phase of transformation to come.
