A seagull-shaped Hilton Garden Inn will open tomorrow at Sumlodol Hengqin Camping Town for leisurely getaways and business trips. This shows how optimistic the Hilton chain is about the Hengqin cultural-tourism sector, said an executive of hotel proprietor Zhuhai Da Heng Qin Pan-Tourism Development.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the facility at 2169 North Ring (Huandao) Road in Hengqin New Area marks increased overall cooperation by international hotel brands in supporting Hengqin cultural-tourism efforts, the proprietor added.

The Sumlodol hotel is 100 m (109 yd) from Sumcheetah, the largest no-power-type amusement facility in Asia, and 15 minutes by car from Chimelong International Ocean Resort. Orient (Zhuhai) Golf Club and Hengqin Checkpoint are reachable in five and 10 minutes' drive respectively.

On offer are 185 guestrooms, of which four are luxury suites. All are equipped with 50-inch Philips liquid-crystal-display televisions, Serta Prefect Sleeper mattresses, and desks. In addition to free WiFi, the hotel has a 24-hour fitness center, self-service laundry, buffet breakfasts, and Western and Asian cuisines at the Garden Grille, while snacks and drinks are served at the Garden Bar.

Hilton Garden Inn Zhuhai Hengqin opened at Hengqin International Innotech Center on Houpu Road in January 2019. A hotel cluster will form within 1 km (.62 miles) of North Ring Road with the two Hilton Garden Inns and Sumlodol Hengqin Camping Town's own hotel.
