A wide variety of industry, transport, and livelihood works are among 40 ongoing growth projects to be completed in Zhuhai this year, and 14 that will come under construction.

For instance, the Zhuhai 2021 Government Work Report states that the first phase of Ninestar Corp's intelligent manufacturing research, production, office, and living facilities; a precious circuit board Suntak Technology plant for design, manufacture, and trade; and printed circuit board production lines of Kinwong Electronic will begin operations in the Gaolan Port Economic Zone.

In Zhongxin Eco-environmental Protection Industry Park of Doumen District, work will be completed on the first phase of a kitchen waste-treatment project, Zhuhai Medical Waste Disposal Center, Green Industry Service Center, and general industrial solid-waste treatment plant.

The Xianghai Bridge main line, west line of Xingye Express Road's north section, and first phase of Hezhou-Gaolan Port Expressway will open to traffic, while the Qingmao Checkpoint (New Guangdong-Macao Channel) in Gongbei will open for border crossings. Ferry routes will start runs between Tangjia and Shenzhen ports, and construction of Airport International Intelligent Logistics Park in Jinwan will be completed.

A group of commercial complexes, including UniPark in Qianshan, Jinwan Huafa Mall, and Doumen TFG Plaza, will spring up. Xiangshan Lake Hotel, and Fenghuang and Banzhang Mt hiking trails in Xiangzhou District will also be finished this year. 

A municipal Senior Service Institution in Nanping will be completed, while the nearby Zhuhai Center for Chronic Disease Control (Zhuhai 3rd Renmin Hospital) will come into use. Eight kindergartens will be built across the city to enroll 2,800 additional students, along with eight primary and secondary schools providing education to 11,000.

To ensure safety, Zhuhai will establish migrant population and rental house information management systems. Two seawalls will have been upgraded, while four others are to be reinforced this year. 

Meanwhile, construction will begin on MTU Maintenance Zhuhai's second aircraft engine repair plant in Aviation Industrial Park of Jinwan, a municipal Botanical Garden in Doumen, Zhuhai Culture & Art Center on Yinkeng Peninsula in Tangjiawan, city-level children's amusement park, and a secondary school.

The Zhuhai-Zhaoqing and Guangzhou-Zhuhai (Macao) high-speed railways, local section of the Nansha-Zhuhai (Zhongshan) Intercity Railway, Jin'gang Bridge, and North Airport Express Road will also come under construction.
