The Jigong Hill section of the Xiangshan Cloud Walkways opened to visitors July 1 with "smart" services and mountain, waterfall, and cityscape views at Sea & Sky Park in Old Xiangzhou.

The section is 1,100 m (2/3 mile) long in lush vegetation. On either side are a waterfall and modern architecture of the Xiangwan Citizens Arts Center. The walkway has USB and wireless charging, bluetooth speakers, free WIFI, and "intelligent" benches with inductive LED lamps.

At the Smart Service Station is an interactive screen where visitors can learn about the walkway scenery and activities from a virtual anchor with a voice wake-up: "你好,山山" (nǐ hǎo, shān shan; Hello, Shanshan). Also available are weather reports, nearby culinary delicacies, scenic spots, toilets, and parking lots, plus encyclopedic knowledge.

Moreover, just say, "请拍照" (qǐng pāi zhào, please take a photo) and pose for a snapshot in a unique background.

With COVID-19 precautions in place, the walkway receives up to 1,000 visitors from 8 am to 6 pm daily. Entry is forbidden from 5:30 pm, and reservations are not currently required.

The major entrance-exit is behind the Zhuhai Museum & Planning Exhibition Hall at the Lovers Avenue-Haihong Road intersection where motorists can park. A barrier-free elevator will be available later for direct access to the 50-m (164-ft) sightseeing platform.
