Central Lake Park in Jinwan Aviation New Town debuted a music fountain July 1 with laser lights and roaring jets of water dancing to "Red" songs in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

The fountain is 100 m (328 ft) long, 80 m (262 ft) wide, and occupies 8,000 sqm (2 acres) at the core area of the park's southern zone. Costing 17 million yuan ($2.62 million), it has lattice water films, dazzling laser lights, and outdoor theater sound systems that interact with lake-circled lighting belts and luminous architecture.

There are eight sets of equipment for various performances. The major spray-head delivers "Heart of Zhuhai" with 80-m water jets, the highest in the city's west wing.

Surrounding the fountain, the core area of Aviation New Town has taken on a new look. The nearby Civic Arts Center has been designed by the renowned Zaha Hadid Architects. It will begin operations in mid-2022 with an artistic appearance and versatile functions.

The Jinwan Civic Center and Public Cultural Service Center (District Library and Archives Hall) southeast of the lake are both in use. The Jinwan International Business Center north of the lake undergoing interior furnishing and curtain wall installation. Once operational, it will harbor a five-star hotel and high-end business facilities.

Construction of the Jinwan Huafa Mall west of the lake has entered its final stretch and is expected to be completed in September. To the south, work on the Mao Lin Hui Feng, Jinwan first five-star hotel that integrates high-end accommodation, leisure, and business, is also near completion.
