China Aviation Industry General Aircraft (CAIGA) South China has fully upgraded AG600 production lines in Jinwan District for the assembly of another record-large amphibious aircraft.

The transformation and upgrades began in 2019 to more efficiently R&D and mass produce the AG600. Assembly of the second AG600 commenced June 24.

The production lines were made more suitable for centralized production and management and more comfortable for workers. They are characterized by digitalization, informatization, modularization, and flexibility. Domestically leading automatic matchmaking, measurement, and gesture adjustment systems are used to control of wing-fuselage abutments.

The original AG600 seaplane was independently designed in China for forest firefighting and maritime rescue. Maiden voyages have been completed on land, sea, and freshwater, and the craft has set a new standard for national emergency rescue and natural disaster control.

Most of the components have already arrived in Zhuhai. Designated a National Demonstration Base for Patriotism Education the same month, the assembly line is being improved with exhibits and a tour route for a better experience.
