Province selects Zhuhai IT innovation park as distinctive
Xinchuang Industrial Park in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) has been chosen as one of two Guangdong distinctive industrial parks for IT application innovation, better known as Xinchuang in Chinese.
Both the next-generation electronic information technology park and Shenzhen Bay Science & Technology Park were chosen after recommendations, expert comments, field inspection, and publicity concerning 19 characteristic industrial parks in the province had been reviewed.
As the core carrier of Zhuhai Xinchuang Characteristic Industrial Park, Huafa Xinchuang Industrial Park currently is being furnished and will officially open soon. The Huafa park is located at the Technological Innovation Coast in Beiwei (Zhuhai North Railway Station area).

The Hi-Tech Zone has Xinchuang enterprises in multiple links of the industrial chain such as machine drivers, peripherals, and chips. Huijin Technology, for instance, provides products and services to 500 provincial branches. Kingsoft office system accounts for 90 percent of the market share of domestic office systems. Toone Technology is a unit of China's BIM series of national standards.
In addition, Xinchuang public technology service platforms in the zone include Huawei Zhuhai Joint Innovation Center for New Generation Information Technology Application, China Electronics Joint Research Zhuhai Base, Guangdong Chengzhi Big Data Center, and Zhuhai Southern Software Network Evaluation Center.
The Main Park of the Hi-Tech Zone in Tangjiawan Town recorded a Xinchuang industry scale of 7.99 billion yuan ($1.26 billion) in 2020 -- year-on-year growth of 22.4 percent. It is home to 37 upstream and downstream enterprises in the sector with 31 of them being above designated size.
Other leading Zhuhai companies in the sector include YGSOFT, Qi-Anxin Technology, Allwinner Technology, and SGSG Science & Technology.
The zone has public service platforms and preferential policies. It cooperated with Huawei Technologies to develop a computing ecosystem of IT infrastructure, industrial applications, and services based on the Kunpeng processor. The zone was selected as a provincial industrial park for big data and artificial intelligence in 2018.
Core functions and key facilities will be localized by 2022 for the major industrial information system spanning government affairs, finance, and energy. It will become a national demonstration zone with an industrial ecosystem, advanced core technologies, rich application sceneries, and industrial competitiveness.
