Lingjiaozui tunnel under Lovers Ave eyes November opening
Construction of the Lovers Avenue Lingjiaozui Curve Tunnel under Haibin Park resumed on Feb 3, the third day of the Chinese New Year, to ensure the project's opening at the end of November.

Construction on the open-cut section on the north entrance of the tunnel and evacuation of the close-cut section on the south side are currently underway. A total of 35 migrant workers on the project stayed in Zhuhai during the Jan 31 to Feb 6 Spring Festival holiday to catch up with the schedule.
The 0.96-km (1,050-yd) express road project starts from Haibin Park (City Balcony) in the north and ends at Haibin Beach (City Parlor) in the south, while the two-way two-lane Lingjiaozui Curve Tunnel stretches 0.34 km (372 yd).
The project will relieve heavy traffic flow along the scenic spots on Lovers Avenue on the border between Jida and Old Xiangzhou and bring more security for motorists passing the Lingjiaozui Curve as it separates sidewalks and roadways, noted Chang Wei of constructor Zhuhai Zhengfang Urban Construction Management Consulting.
