Pingtang River lighting belt illuminates Jinwan night views
Both sides of the Pingtang River in Pingsha Town of Jinwan District are now decorated with 2020 LED wall wash lights, adding the charm and atmosphere of the "One River-Two Banks" sightseeing belt.
The lighting belt stretches 2.8 km (1.7 miles) between Ruyi Bridge in the west and Zhiqing Bridge in the east. Construction started in December 2021 and lasted about two months. The LED lights will change colors, such as red, blue, purple and green, illuminating Pingsha's "mother river" at night while meeting up with requirements of safety and energy saving.
The new lights give more charm to sceneries along the river and make people more pleasant especially when strolling after dinner, noted a local resident surnamed Zhang.
With continuous efforts of the local government for renovation and upgrading, the Pingtang River now is an ideal place for fishing, walking, and relaxing.
