Seven projects signed agreements to settle in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) on April 28, bringing the total to 12 in a month with investment of over 6 billion yuan ($903 million).

Spanning the semiconductor, medical equipment, artificial intelligence, and polymer materials industries, the projects cover total area of more than 60,000 sq m (15 acres).

Zhuhai Ton-Bridge Medical, a locally registered national hi-tech company, will build a medical innovation base in Tangjiawan. The company has transformed several global leading sci-tech outcomes into products, addressing the gap in domestic high-end intracranial implant interventional medical devices. Shenzhen JR Talent, which is dedicated to empowering the traditional human resources industry with AI and cloud data, will locate its South China headquarters in the Hi-Tech Zone and establish a Zhuhai Technical Center.

 Relocated from Wuhan, Hubei province in 2020, Zhuhai Anlian Green & Innovation Development Group aims to better serve the economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with green architecture and environment protection technologies by building a headquarters base in Tangjiawan. Yuhao Optoelectronics (Zhuhai) will increase investment for larger production capacity, with a focus on the R&D and production of automatic assembly and test equipment for optical lenses. 

Meanwhile, Zhuhai Hengge High-molecular Materials, a company focusing on the independent R&D, production, and marketing of high-performance high fluorine and perfluorine rubber products, will lay out its project on perfluorinated seal rings to increase the import substitution rate of this sealing element.

Zhuhai Rundian Technology will expand its investment of "smart" grid construction in Tangjiawan. It was recognized as a hi-tech company in 2019 and currently owns dozens of invention patents and software copyrights.

In addition, winners of local Jingniuhui Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition, as well as doctoral & post-doc project selections are also among the newcomers to Tangjiawan.  

Zhuhai Huacui Technology, which boasts several independent R&D patents, will expand its investment to the production and application of flexible transparent display screen film. It has a professional technical team formed by doctorates from both home and abroad. 

A digital and smart senior care service platform will be built by Zhuhai Tengyun Smart Technology, to formulate a citywide and efficient senior care management system. Zhuhai Lanchen Technology is an independent company in which Meizu Technology holds shares. It has signed an agreement with the zone to create a sci-tech ecological chain brand for China-Chic products.

Service cards were issued by the zone's enterprise service center to the seven companies during the signing ceremony. Customized follow-up services will be provided to help their projects start operations sooner.

Enterprise representatives spoke highly of the zone's one-stop services and said that the firms will devote efforts to bolstering Tangjiawan's development and construction, as well as contributing to local economic prosperity.
