Construction on the main structures of the living area of United International College's (UIC) Phase II in Jinding Town were completed on May 20, with two dormitory buildings expected to be put into use in October. 

With total floorage of 170,000 sq m (42 acres), the living area encompasses six dormitory buildings, a canteen, an activity center, and other supporting facilities. It aims to provide a convenient and comfortable living experience for students. Each dormitory has two bedrooms and a living room, while there is a laundry room on each floor. Appliances like induction cookers and refrigerators are available in public areas of the dormitory buildings.

UIC President Tang Tao noted that the university, jointly founded by Beijing Normal and Hong Kong Baptist universities, has been based in Zhuhai for over a decade. It started from the campus at Jinfeng Road in Tangjiawan and then moved to its Jintong Road campus in 2017. 

Located next to ancient Huitong Village, UIC's Phase II has total area of 550 mu (90.6 acres) and floorage of 400,000 sq m (98 acres). It is divided into three areas for sci-tech research, teaching, and living. It will be able to accommodate 6,000 students and 1,000 teaching staff members.

A unique university town integrating with the ancient village culture of Huitong Village will be formed. The school's first campus will focus on humanities and business, while its second campus will focus on science and technology, as well as postgraduate education.
