The 700-million-yuan ($105-million) smart manufacturing base and industrial park of Zhuhai-based Guangdong Constar Construction Group began construction on May 29 in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan).

Covering floor area of 130,000 sq m (32 acres), the Constar Intelligent Manufacturing Base and Jiancai Intelligent Industrial Park are located off the Sixth Tianxing-Fifth Xinsha roads intersection. Construction started only two months after the company obtained land use permits. Together they will strive to foster a Zhuhai-based industrial cluster with an influence spreading across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Constar Intelligent Manufacturing Base will be built into a hi-tech industrial park featuring modern new-type sci-tech research and smart manufacturing. Meanwhile, Jiancai Intelligent Industrial Park will be home to social resources, including the Greater Bay Area Building Association, as well as other sci-tech research institutions. The park will devote efforts to attracting industrial giants in the Greater Bay Area and high-quality industrial chain resources, such as small and medium-sized enterprises, to promote the development of a regional cluster for the construction industry.

Upon operation, the project will take the lead in formulating an industrial park featuring comprehensive industrial chains that integrate leading headquarters, new-type R&D, and smart manufacturing bases, which will bolster regional economic development.

Guangdong Constar Construction Group's general manager Chen Zhenhong noted that the project will provide a solid space and platform support for local enterprises, as well as help establish a modern industrial system.
