An electronic distributed photovoltaic power generation project in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) broke ground on June 6, aiming to push forward Tangjiawan's clean energy efforts in the future. 

Located in the Kangding Science & Technology Park in Jinding Town, the project was invested in by Zhuhai Langri Hi-tech New Energy for Zhuhai Kangding Electronic, with the overall design, construction, and operation undertaken by Zhuhai Lingjing New Energy Technology.

The steel structure technology was applied to double installed capacity, increasing the power generating capacity by over 50 percent. Continuous component upgrades are planned to achieve carbon neutrality before 2030.

Upon operation, the project will generate 807,490 kilowatts of electricity annually, reducing standard coal consumption by 279 metric tons, carbon dioxide emissions by 695.4 tons, and sulfur dioxide emissions by 10.46 tons. In addition, neither air, water, solid waste, nor noise pollution will occur during the project's operation. 

Zhang Zhenhai, director of Zhuhai Kangding Electronics, said that the enterprise's operation and production require huge amounts of electricity, with its monthly power consumption usually exceeding over 200,000 KW during peak periods. The project will ensure the enterprise's normal power consumption and reduce expenses. 

Huang Ziwen, general manager of Zhuhai Lingjing New Energy Technology, noted that Zhuhai has abundant light resources and hi-tech enterprises. As a result, the enterprise will invest over 100 million yuan ($15 million) for smart energy projects in the second half of 2022 in Zhuhai industrial parks like Sanzao, Doumen's Fushan, and Tangjiawan, as well as nearby cities.
