The Zhuhai-Macao Software and Integrated Circuits Industry Business Exchange took place online and on-site in both Hengqin and Macao on June 10, attracting over 50 business representatives in the software and IC industries at two offline venues. 

The event aimed at giving full play to the advantages of Zhuhai and Macao in innovative resources, building a strong platform to boost mutual sci-tech innovation, and enhancing the deeper connections of the two regions in innovation and industry chains.

Hosted by Zhuhai Zhu Kuan Group, the event also received support from parties like the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), Association of Chinese Enterprises in Macao, Zhuhai Bureau of Commerce, as well as Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

Zhuhai and Macao officials provided overviews on the business environments and preferential policies of the two regions during the event. In addition, acting president of IPIM Vincent U noted that the institute will continue to explore exhibitions and sci-tech innovation to foster new cooperation patterns with Zhuhai. 

Attendees also carried out discussions regarding Macao's investment environment, the experiences of Zhuhai and Macao software enterprises in exploring the Macao market, as well as cooperation opportunities between Zhuhai and Macao's IC industries. 

Li Qiangru, deputy general manager of Zhuhai Eeasy Tech, praised the event for providing a communication platform for entrepreneurs and investors in relevant sectors from Zhuhai and Macao.

The Zhuhai Bureau of Commerce has already worked with Zhu Kuan Group in building a Zhuhai-Macao economic and trade cooperation platform, which has bolstered communication and cooperation between enterprises in Macao and the Chinese mainland since it began operation at the end of 2018.

Wang Yi, general manager of Zhu Kuan Group, noted that the software and IC industries are the core of the information industry and key power leading a new round of sci-tech revolution and industrial transformation.
