Over 70 Xiangzhou enterprises in the new-generation information technology, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and equipment manufacturing sectors were showcased at a June 13 investment attraction conference held in Shenzhen for the district's industry 5.0 space projects.

Hosted by the Xiangzhou District government and Zhuhai Investment Attraction Office, the conference aimed to build platforms for deepened technological exchanges and industrial cooperation between Zhuhai and Shenzhen.

During the event, agreements on 30 high-growth innovative projects were signed to settle in the district. They cover Xiangzhou's key industrial development trends, including optoelectronics, intelligent detection and manufacturing, digital economy, new energy, as well as integrated circuits. 

Among the projects are ones by Shenzhen ZTE Solution and Shenzhen Voxinda Technology. Collectively, they will cover 132,200 sq m (37 acres) in industrial space in Xiangzhou. 

According to the agreements, Xiangzhou will ensure that 5.5 million sq m (1,359 acres) of standard factories to be built in two years, of which 2 million sq m (494 acres) will be constructed by State-owned enterprises.

Gree Group, Zhuhai's first State-owned assets investment and operation platform, will invest more than 8 billion yuan ($1 billion) for the Sanxi Technology and Innovation Town project in Qianshan, which will be the first industry-city integration project in downtown Zhuhai. 

With floorage of over 850,000 sq m (210 acres), the town will boast standard factories, R&D offices, hotels, commercial centers, as well as supporting living facilities including primary schools, kindergartens, and community centers.

Zhuhai Xiangzhou Zhengfang Holdings has also planned to build industrial hub spaces spanning over 1 million sq m (247 acres) and each of its industrial parks will cover one distinctive industry. One-stop services regarding policies, talents, technologies, and finance will be available for enterprises settled in the parks.

To further implement Zhuhai's "industry first" development strategy, Xiangzhou District has laid out six targets with supporting policies during its May 29 industrial development conference.
