Construction accelerated on Phase II of Jinwan LNG station
More than 900 workers stayed at the construction site of Phase II of the Zhuhai Jinwan LNG Station during the week-long National Day Holiday, which ran from Oct 1 to 7, accelerating construction on the project.
Currently, wall reinforcement binding, as well as the installation of prestressed pipes and built-in fittings for five 270,000-cubic-meter liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks in phase II of the Zhuhai Jinwan LNG Station is underway.
The production of prefabricated modules of Tank F is moving forward, while the installation of the modules for Tanks H and G has been completed successively.
The person in charge of the construction site noted that they have been making full use of the current good weather and optimizing construction plans to speed up construction.

Located on Gaolan Island in Jinwan District, the project is one of the major oil and gas infrastructure projects in China. It started construction in June 2021 and the five LNG storage tanks are the largest of their kind in the world.
Upon operation, the station will be able to handle 7 million metric tons of LNG, becoming the largest LNG storage and transport base in South China, while offering continuous and stable clean energy for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
