Zhuhai Hangyue Electric Group's R&D headquarters project broke ground at Sanxi Technology & Innovation Town in Xiangzhou District on Oct 18.

Boasting an investment of 250 million yuan ($35 million), the project covers a total area of 6,030.36 sqm (1.5 acres). It will consist of a brand-new industrial complex integrating production, living, and ecology, with floorage of 46,000 sqm (11.4 acres).

Upon operation, it is expected to generate an annual output of over 1 billion yuan ($138 million), boosting the development of the photoelectric and smart grid industries of Sanxi Technology & Innovation Town, while promoting Hangyue's high-caliber talent introduction and product R&D.

Founded in 2004, Zhuhai Hangyue Electric Group began as an agent of Siemens Electrical and BSH Home Appliances. It has now grown into an integrated energy service provider featuring intelligent power distribution R&D manufacturing, power engineering design and construction, as well as micro grid optical storage and charging solutions.

The project will mark a milestone of Hangyue Electric's development and the group will strive to make more contributions to local industrial growth, noted chief executive officer Yue Xiaofang.
