Baiteng Sports Center in Doumen District is now moving forward pile foundation construction of its basement and is expected to start operation in 2024.

Located on the east side of Jinhu Road and north of Hongxin Road, the 23,000-sqm (5.7-acre) sports center will consist of one main venue and a sub venue with floorage of 29,000 sqm (7.2 acres). It will adopt a non-graphic design for its exterior to create a new unique city landmark.

The facility will have nearly 4,000 seats, making it able to undertake national indoor single tournaments. 

The 23.7-m-tall (78-ft-tall) main venue will have two stories and floorage of 13,000 sqm (3.2 acres). It will be used for large-scale basketball, tennis, and table tennis competitions. The 18.6-m-tall (61-ft-tall) sub venue will have floorage of 5,240 sqm (1.3 acres). It will be equipped with fitness and sports training facilities, as well as a sales area for sports consumer goods.

Of note, 168 underground parking spaces will be available to bring more convenience to residents and visitors.
