Thirty-six famous urology experts and professors from home and abroad gathered online and on-site in Zhuhai from Oct 21 to 23 for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Urology Summit Forum, sharing insights on cutting-edge technologies in the field.

Co-hosted by the Zhuhai Medical Association and Jinan University Urology Association, the forum attracted 10,149 online views from medical staff members in areas including Hong Kong and Macao. 

The Third Greater Bay Area Prostate Cancer Global Forum, as well as the 2022 Urology Specialized Nursing Seminar and Urology Association Academic Forum of Jinan University were also held concurrently.

Mei Wenhua, chairman of the Zhuhai Medical Association, said that Zhuhai has organized 22 Greater Bay Area academic events over four years since the outline development plan for the Greater Bay Area was released in 2019.

Mei noted that the events have gathered 450 experts from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, Beijing, and Shanghai to deliver lectures and attracted over 12,000 attendees, making Zhuhai an academic brand with a relatively big influence in the Greater Bay Area.

The brand has promoted academic exchanges and cooperation in the Greater Bay Area, as well as moved forward the construction of a healthy Greater Bay Area. It has also further accelerated the area's integrated development, as well as boosted the application and transformation of technologies like medical 3D printing.
