Construction of the south expansion area of Phase II of Zhuhai International Health Harbor is now moving forward, with the main structure of the remaining five high-rise GMP factories and a comprehensive building expected to be completed by the end of 2022.

The 88,000-sqm (22-acre) area is located in Dingjiawan Industrial Zone and will serve as a supplement to Zhuhai International Health Harbor, which has been positioned as a biomedical industrial park platform of Jinwan District. 

Zhu Chao, the project leader, noted that the area has been built in two phases and that the first two GMP factories in Phase I of the project have passed the completion acceptance process. Zhu added that Phase II of the project is expected to start interior decoration in February 2023 and go through the completion acceptance stage by the end of April 2023.

Preferential policies have been released to attract more enterprises to settle in the area and the harbor has reached cooperation intention agreements with several enterprises. 

Zhuhai International Health Harbor will become a comprehensive high-level biomedical industrial park with international reach. Its Phase I has been put into operation in 2018 and is now home to 27 enterprises, striving to cultivate a batch of innovation biomedical enterprises with global perspectives. 

Nearby, Jinqin Health Harbor is also under rapid construction. Upon operation, it will team with Zhuhai International Health Harbor to become a cluster of biomedical industrial platforms in Zhuhai and boost the high-quality development of the city's biomedical industry.
