Registration and preparation have begun for the first AERO Asia, which will take place at the Zhuhai International Air Show Center in Jinwan District from Nov 23 to 25, 2023, officials announced during the Dec 21 online press conference.

The AERO Asia, a business and general aviation show to be jointly presented by Zhuhai Airshow China and Germany-based AERO Fridrichshafen, will be held biennially in odd-numbered years starting from 2023 in supplement of the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition which is held biennially in even-numbered years.

The event is expected to gather global leading general aviation enterprises to showcase the latest technologies, outcomes, and products in the general aviation industry. It aims to boost advanced technological exchanges and trade cooperation while promoting the sustainable development of the aviation industry.

Themed "Realizing your Flying Dream," dynamic and static exhibitions will be held both indoors and outdoors. They will be split into four areas: aviation emergency rescue, emerging aviation consumption, general aviation transportation, and traditional aviation operations. Aircraft such as ultralight helicopters, rotorcraft, piston or turboprop aircraft, business aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and new propulsion systems will be on show at the event.

A series of high-end forums, investment promotion fairs, outcome releasing conferences, and contract signing ceremonies will be held, focusing on pressing issues of electric flight, aviation industry, and finance. Moreover, flight performances will be arranged.

Sun Jiefeng, president of Zhuhai Airshow Co, said that the enterprise will work with AERO Fridrichshafen to make full use of mutual advantages in hosting the AERO Asia. He expressed hope that more general aviation enterprises and associations will participate in the AERO Asia to explore more development opportunities.

Tobias Bretzel, the person in charge of AERO Fridrichshafen, noted that the AERO Fridrichshafen is currently a global leading general aviation business and aviation platform with more than four decades of history. The excellent venue, exhibition facilities, and management group are the reasons that AERO Fridrichshafen chose to cooperate with Zhuhai Airshow Co.

Bretzel put forward that the AERO Asia is set to be a top professional exhibition on general aviation in Asia.

In addition, Zhuhai Airshow Co has signed contracts online with seven general aviation associations and enterprises such as the Asian Business Aviation Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China, and Guangdong General Aviation Association.

The seven parties all spoke highly of the AERO Asia and said that they would bring in international general aviation enterprises to the event and strive to develop deeper cooperation.
