Zhuhai Airport Hotel, a major part of the Zhuhai Airport Comprehensive Transportation Hub project, began construction on May 22.

Located northeast of the upcoming Terminal II of Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport, the hotel will have a floorage of 77,637.08 square meters (19.2 acres), with nine aboveground floors and two underground ones. It will provide 366 parking spaces, 356 suites, a 1,500-sq-m (16,146-sq-ft) multifunction hall, a 700-sq-m (7,535-sq-ft) banquet hall, and five independent meeting rooms.

The overall design of the hotel is inspired by Airshow China and the ocean. The hotel's structure will be coordinated with the shell shape of Terminal II. With facilities for business trips, aviation, and coastal vacation, the hotel will be built into an aerospace-themed hotel. 

According to Wang Chao of Zhuhai Hangcheng Airport Construction, once operational, the hotel will provide comprehensive services for tourism, business, professional meetings, and the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition.

By then, guests of the hotel will be able to have a panoramic view of Airshow China's entire exhibition area from the hotel's sightseeing platform.

Of note, the hotel is expected to finish construction before the opening of the 2024 Airshow China. Advanced techniques such as building information modeling, three-dimensional scanning, and prefabricated housing will be applied to ensure the project's high-efficiency construction.
