New Lingjiaozui Curve Tunnel to boost tourism
The Lingjiaozui Curve Tunnel commenced full operation on May 31, providing a more convenient channel for vehicles from Jida's City Parlor to reach City Balcony, Haibin Park, and Yeli Island.
The Zhuhai Fisher Maiden Statue is located at the Lingjiaozui Curve of Central Lovers Avenue. Prior to the tunnel's operation, motorists on Central Lovers Avenue had to make a big turn along the shoreline; however, they can now safely and conveniently access this tourist attraction.

The 340-meter (372-yd) tunnel has dual lanes in both directions and a designated speed of 40 kilometers per hour (25 miles per hour). This tunnel will help shorten commuters' travel time, provide tourists with easier access to Central Lovers Avenue, and relieve traffic pressure on the road sections near the Zhuhai Fisher Maiden Statue during holidays.
A slow-traffic path will also be built alongside Central Lovers Avenue to enhance the area's viewing appeal and boost coastal tourism development. This path will start from the new Zhuhai Fisher Maiden Statue Bus Stop and terminate at the top of the tunnel, where tourists can get a panoramic view of Xianglu Bay, Yeli Island, and Jingshan Park in the distance.
Of note, the Lingjiaozui Curve section of Central Lovers Avenue is currently restricted to one-way traffic from south to north.
