GBA's 1st multi-functional water sports center to meet public in August
The first multi-functional water sports center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be built in Jinwan's Jinhu Park. Plans are for the facility to host a variety of national competitions in the coming year.
The center will include the Jinhu Waterfront Pier and a market, both of which are expected to be completed and operational in August this year.
The market will be equipped with one-stop entertainment facilities such as outdoor cinemas, water sports clubs, catering, and themed scenic check-in points. All of which will create a water-themed carnival suitable for all ages.

The Jinhu Waterfront Pier will create a new water culture in Zhuhai, featuring a non-motorized children's area, a water sports activities area, and a floating island adorned with coconut palms.
The floating coconut grove island will have a 3-meter-wide (3-yd-wide) floating platform, allowing visitors to enjoy the lake's beautiful scenery. To access this island or any of the other islands in the lake, visitors can avail themselves of boat rides.
Upon completion, Jinhu Park will strive to establish itself as an international first-class base for water sports and health leisure tourism. It will continuously integrate top-tier global events, high-end talent resources, and advanced water sports technology from around the world to achieve this goal, said a Jinwan district official.
Of note, the 2023 China Paddle Board Club League and National SUP (stand-up paddle) U-Series (Zhuhai Stop) will take place at Jinhu Park from Aug 26 to 27. The event plans to invite about 200 athletes from 15 provinces and cities nationwide. Other activities, such as Zhuhai Youth SUP Experience Day, will also be held there.
