The Suzhou Ecological Institute was inaugurated in Suzhou New District on May 11.
The institute was established by the district's Hengtang sub district office and the Suzhou Industrial Technology Institute of East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST).
To grow into one of the influential incubation bases for ecological technology industry in Jiangsu province and to establish an industry-leading public technology platform within three years are the targets of the institute.
Based on ECUST's technology and talents, the newly-built institute will offer support to Hengtang sub district in water environment improvement and ecological restoration in order to give the sub district a favorable natural environment, for which other districts in Jiangsu province can aspire to being like.
