The Kawasaki Precision Machinery (Suzhou) Ltd was founded in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province in 2005, with an investment of $30 million. Powered by the same manufacturing technology and production equipment as it Japanese headquarters, the Suzhou branch aims to manufacture and supply as good as those made-in-Japan hydraulic components to its customers, such as hydraulic pumps and motors. In 2015, the company started producing robots and became the second manufacturing facility of Kawasaki for industrial robots, after the first in Akashi, Japan.
The robot factory is advanced in that 17 robots are used to manufacture many robots a day, and also that workers and robots work in collaboration with each other. As a result, high-quality robots are manufactured efficiently with less manpower, and are of high quality while at reasonable prices. Potential customers are also encouraged to watch robots at work in the factory and many customers have visited the factory and observed robots making other robots.
