The Suzhou Collaborative Innovation Medical Robot Institute in Suzhou New District (SND), Jiangsu province is nestled under green mountains and near picturesque lakes.
It was jointly set up by the Harbin Boshi Automation Co and SND government as a platform for the commercialization of latest scientific and technological achievements.
By focusing on the research and development of medical robots, the institute has attracted numerous resources and established cooperative ties with a number of domestic leading universities and research institutes, including the key national laboratory of robotics and system of Harbin Institute of Technology, Soochow University's research center of robotics and microsystem and key laboratory of advanced robotics, Beihang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the Shenyang Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The institute has applied a multilayer incubation mechanism which can bridge convenient channels between high-end talents, high-quality projects, and industrial capital.
It is also actively promoting the construction of domestic medical robot standards and testing platforms, and aims to build seamless connections of the whole industrial chain, which includes talent training, technology research and development, standard formulation, patent application and registration, and production and sales.
