The Nintendo Switch Experience Center that opened in Suzhou New District in February has become a popular destination for gamers.
Visitors can try out a variety of Switch games and immerse themselves in a dazzling array of Japanese anime-based handmade figurines, capsule toys, and other sideline products.
The store offers a variety of activities, as up to eight family members can participate in interactive games and body-conscious consumers can try out fitness-focused games.
Visitors who are hesitant about buying new games can try out the store's targeted services, whereby they can pay a fee and try different games within a designated time until they find what they want.
"I never imagined that there would be a place in SND that is so similar to Akihabara in Tokyo. I can feel the pulse of the animation industry that is so familiar to me," said one Japanese consumer.
The center is the 600th Japanese company that has settled in SND. According to its boss, Wang Zhiliang, the center garnered 1.1 million yuan ($169,290) in sales revenue in the first month after opening, with the figure reaching a daily average of 70,000 yuan during the Spring Festival holiday.
"We are planning to expand our store and introduce more recreational activities in the future," Wang said.
