Suzhou New District recently released this year's list of role models who have made contributions to the industrial development and technological innovation in the district.
With the aim of promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, the district's scientific and technological bureau has released this list annually since 2016. To date, 30 technical talents have been awarded.
The winners for this year were Chen Xiaomin, Gu Yiming, Liu Xuesong, Wu Junhui, and Zhang Xu.
Chen Xiaomin, chairman and general manager of Suzhou Cheersson Precision Industry Co, won honors as an industry pioneer and excellent entrepreneur. Emphasizing technological innovation, she has led the company in obtaining more than 30 invention patents.
Gu Yiming, chairman of Suzhou Kelida Building and Decoration Co, has been engaged in the decoration and furnishing field for over 20 years. His company is a pioneer in assembly-style decoration, a decoration method in which the parts produced by the factory are assembled and installed on the spot.
Liu Xuesong is founder and chief scientist of Suzhou Zedaxingbang Pharmaceutical Technological Co. He founded a professional team in developing traditional Chinese medicine with modern technology, which undertook and participated in more than 30 national and provincial projects.
Wu Junhui, general manager of Suzhou Supereal Microelectronics Co, has strong expertise in chip development, as well as management and marketing. His company has successfully developed and mass produced mid-and high-end chips, with clients from home and abroad like Konka, Foxconn, and Toshiba.
Zhang Xu, chairman and general manager of Guoqian Medical Technology (Suzhou) Co, was recognized for his contributions to the medical industry. His company is a professional and market-oriented venture capital institution that focuses on equity investment in early innovation and entrepreneurship projects in the fields of medical devices, in vitro diagnostic reagents, as well as biotechnology.
