A delegation from Kavo Group, a designer and manufacturer of dental equipment and consumables, visited Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province on June 5 to further deepen communications and cooperation with the district.
Yang Zhiping, vice-mayor of Suzhou, welcomed the delegation, as well as gave them an introduction of the economic and social development of SND and Suzhou.
Yang said that medical device industry is one of the leading industries in SND. The district has attracted investment from about 400 European and American enterprises covering high-end manufacturing, rail transportation, auto parts and medical device industries.
The development of SND's foreign businesses has contributed to its sci-tech innovation. SND expects more advice from foreign enterprises about improving its business environment, said Yang.
Xing Jun, president of Kavo China, expressed thanks to SND for its long-term support, adding that the company will actively take part in the city's digital transformation.
Headquartered in the United States, Kavo Group has established an R&D center in Shanghai, as well as opened manufacturing factories in Suzhou, Jiangsu province and Ziyang, Sichuan province, aiming at increasing its presence in China.
The group's subsidiary Kavo Kerr Dental (Suzhou) Co was founded in SND in 2013 for producing dental simulation devices and parts.
