Suzhou New District was recently praised for its online education application popularization efforts in 2020 by the Ministry of Education. It was the only selected area in Suzhou.
No 1 Middle School of Suzhou New District, and Experimental Primary School of Suzhou Science and Technology Town were also praised for their online education applications by the MOE.
In recent years, SND has made achievements in establishing its online education platform. It has formed a layout of "one education big data center, two maps, three systems, four modules, and five spaces".
The five spaces include one learning space for students, one teaching space for teachers to prepare lessons and to carry out research and analysis about lessons, one parent space for extending communication between schools and parents, one society space offering education resources to citizens, as well as a management space, said an official from the district's bureau of education.
SND has been promoting the online education platform in three steps, including training for the online education platform, setting up the online education platform in pilot areas, as well as covering the entire district with the online education platform.
Statistics showed that during the COVID-19 prevention and control period in 2020, the daily amount of logins on the platform reached a maximum of 61,000, the daily page views exceeded 160,000, and the total page view of users exceeded 30 million.
SND will further focus on the application of the online education platform by creating new modes for training, comprehensively improving the information literacy of teachers and students, as well as ensuring network security, said an official from the district's bureau of education.
