Swiss artist's exhibition kicks off in SND

The Inspiration of the East and the West International Art Exhibition was unveiled in the Han Shan Art Museum in Suzhou New District on Aug 16. 

The exhibition displays nearly 40 pieces of fabric art works by Renato Tagli, a Swiss artist and graphic designer.

"I have been creating light and shadow art by cutting and stitching colored fabrics for 15 years. Color is a part of my life," said Tagli. "In these years of creation, I have studied the relationship between color theory and color, and combined color and shape more harmoniously."

With the improvement of living standards, more and more people are paying attention to achieving a higher quality of life by pursuing artistic aesthetics and life aesthetics, said Sha Feng, a designer from SND. With the purpose of bringing art to public, Sha curated the exhibition. 

SND has been enhancing its cultural and creative industry in recent years by attracting talents and projects. This year, the district has awarded 12 talents and carried out six events related to the cultural and creative industry.

Opening time: 10:00-18:00, from Aug 17 to Aug 31 except Mondays

Ticket price: 5 yuan ($0.77) per person
