The Silk Show Town in Suzhou New District was listed among the top 50 national characteristic towns in 2021.
Located in Zhenhu sub-district, the western ecological tourist resort of Suzhou city, the Silk Show Town is keenly focused on turning itself into a cultural incubator integrating culture, exhibition, research, and tourism.
The China Embroidery Art Museum in the town has been opened to public since 2018 and showcases embroidery history, famous embroiderers, craftsmanship and boutiques.
Reopened in December 2020, the embroidery street is now a pedestrian street that has been listed among the "national standardized markets for intellectual property protection" and "national characteristic commercial streets" in the country. The street has formed a Suzhou embroidery industry chain covering design, copyright, production, trading, and talents.
