The 13th China Embroidery Art Festival will be held from Sept 23 to Oct 30 in Zhenhu sub-district, Suzhou New District.
Jointly organized by the China National Arts and Crafts Association, the China National Arts and Crafts Society, as well as the China Cultural Industry Association, the festival will be a national-level art feast.
Apart from the main exhibition at Mashan Mountain Tourist Center, there will be sub-exhibitions in venues like the China Embroidery Art Museum and the Suzhou embroidery masters' exhibition halls, which will last until Oct 30.
Visitors can visit various exhibitions, learn about intangible cultural heritage items, try their hands at Suzhou embroidery, as well as shop at New Collection during the festival.
The first Suzhou Craftart Biennale will be unveiled for the first time as a festival highlight. The biennale will display more than 400 pieces of artworks, spanning embroidery, brocade, bamboo weaving, wood prints, and lacquer wares, made by artists from China, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, and Haiti.
Visitors must make appointments to attend the festival and can do so on the WeChat mini program "云上苏绣小镇" (Silk Show Town).
