Suzhou New District held a business environment promotion conference on Oct 7 to set the district's goals for the fourth quarter of this year.
From January to September, SND's GDP has increased by 10 percent year-on-year to 116 billion yuan ($17.98 billion). The district has set a target of ensuring annual GDP growth of more than 10 percent in the fourth quarter, while also improving its business environment.
"We should persistently improve the business environment to further attract both domestic and foreign investment and talents," said Mao Wei, Party secretary of the district.
A business platform was initiated at the conference. The platform provides services like showing business policies, helping companies deal with obstacles during operation and address business affairs in a more timely fashion, as well as offering advice to business entities.
The platform has set up offline service stations in company clusters like China Suzhou Innovation Park, Jiangsu Medpark, Shishan Business Innovation Zone, and Taihu Science City to offer companies both online and offline services.
