Wholesale giant Costco recently announced that its Suzhou store will be open for business on Dec 8, local media outlets reported.
Headquartered in Seattle, the United States, Costco is the second largest retailer in the world with an annual revenue of $141 billion. The company has more than 780 warehouse stores around the world and a membership of over 97.2 million.
The new Costco store is located to the west of Chengji Road and south of Decathlon in the Xushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Suzhou New District.
The company's second store in the Chinese mainland, Costco Suzhou has a 16,000-square-meter shopping area and three levels of parking lots.
The opening of Costco in the Xushuguan Economic and Technological Development Zone will better serve the needs of residents and promote the consumption in the area, which already has other retailers such as Aeon, IKEA and Decathlon.
