Suzhou New District and China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co, a research arm of the State-owned Genertec, recently signed an investment cooperation agreement worth 2 billion yuan ($313.6 million), local media outlets reported.
According to the agreement, the company will set up its East China headquarters as well as the Yangtze River Delta Automotive Engineering Research Institute in SND to offer services such as inspection and testing for automobile communication and software quality, auto parts testing, big data supervision of new energy vehicles and charging facilities, and professional industrial internet for industrial testing companies.
Established in 1965, China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co is a public scientific and technological innovation platform focusing on the research and development, experimental study, and quality testing of automobile products in China. It was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2012. The company currently has nearly 30 national platforms for scientific research and services and post-doctoral research stations. It is also a national high-tech enterprise, a national innovative enterprise, a national scientific reform demonstration enterprise, and an international science and technology cooperation base.
