Located in Xushuguan town in Suzhou New District, Canli Block was opened to visitors on Dec 28, 2021.
Covering an area of 10,000 square meters, the sericulture-themed block is a combination of century-old buildings and modern commercial elements and consists of five buildings that date back to the 1920s. The block also features hotels, cultural workshops, sericulture exhibition halls as well as intangible cultural heritage studios.
Visitors can learn about Xushuguan town's history of growing mulberry trees and raising silkworms, admire the elegance of the Suzhou-style water town, and experience intangible cultural heritage items.
