A scenic walkway that combines cultural characteristics, recreational activities, sightseeing, and tourism has opened along the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in Xushuguan, Suzhou New District.
With a total length of 13 kilometers, 7.2 km on the east bank and 4.9 km on the west, the walkway was built section by section, with each section featuring different themes and styles of greenery.
A variety of squares, sightseeing terraces, grassy slopes, riverfront parks, and sports facilities were also constructed along the walkway to make it more enjoyable and interesting.
In addition, the walkway has a rainbow section painted red, yellow and blue to give it a more vibrant feel.
