As this year marks the 120th anniversary of Nanjing University, the school's much-anticipated new campus in Suzhou New District, which will welcome its first group of undergraduates and postgraduates in September this year, is inviting interested visitors for an immersive online tour.

The Nanjing University Suzhou Campus, which consists of an East and a West Zone and a total area of 133.3 hectares, is working to implementing virtual reality technology.
The teaching buildings of the new campus feature the classic grey-and-red brick tone, which was used in university's first campus in Gulou district, Nanjing. They are also interconnected, enabling teachers and students to travel between different floors and buildings easily.
Architectural and cultural elements of Suzhou classical gardens were also integrated into the new campus' squares and courtyards to showcase the unique history and culture of the city.
The VR tour also sheds light on the new campus' eco-friendly design philosophy, with a variety of green and environment-friendly facilities, such as inner curtains, a heat preservation system, energy-efficient lighting system, rainwater collection system, solar energy system, and natural ventilation system.
