A new expressway connecting Suzhou New District and neighboring Wuxi's Binhu district has been put on the agenda, local media outlets reported.
The expressway is expected to greatly enhance the connectivity between the two cities, boost the construction of the Around Taihu Lake Sci-Tech Innovation Circle, and further facilitate the integration of the Yangtze River Delta region.
SND, which is located to the west of urban Suzhou and east of Taihu Lake, is home to a variety of emerging industries as well as the new campus of the prestigious Nanjing University.
Binhu district is home to the relocated Wuxi government and is like a pearl dotting the southern tip of Taihu Lake.
