A needle-free COVID-19 vaccine with a sweet twist became available in Suzhou starting on Nov 3, and those who fear needles or want more convenience rushed to get the vaccine.
There are currently 59 inoculation sites across the city that are able to receive reservations via phone.
After being inhaled, the vaccine activates the respiratory mucous immune response and prevents the spread of respiratory diseases efficiently.
Three steps to inhaling the vaccine:
1. Exhale deeply;
2. Hold the mouth of the atomizer and inhale the vaccine until there is no significant leftover atomized gas-vaccine;
3. Hold your breath for at least five seconds.
At this stage, people who are 18 years or older and have received a full vaccination course (two doses of inactivated vaccines or one dose of the adenovirus vector vaccine made by CanSino Biologics) at least six months ago can choose to receive one inhaled booster.
