Fukushin Electric (Suzhou) Co celebrated its 10th anniversary in Suzhou New District, East China's Jiangsu province, and the opening of its new manufacturing facility in the district on Aug 11.
Over the past decade, Fukushin Electric has built two factories in SND to produce airbag accessories for Japanese companies including Daicel, Mitsubishi Electric, and Panasonic. Its products have a 25-percent market share in China.
The new intelligent manufacturing plant, worth 120 million yuan ($16.61 million), will be used for research, development, and manufacturing.
Founded in 1957, Japan-based Fukushin Electric Co mainly produces auto spare parts, housing equipment, industrial equipment, and aircraft parts. Its increased investment in SND is expected to further strengthen the district's high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
The high-end equipment manufacturing industry, with a strong foundation and complete system, has become SND's leading industry, valued at 100 billion yuan.
The district is currently home to a number of leading manufacturers, including Canon, Kobelco, and Kawasaki, industrial parks and bases, and research institutes, laying a solid foundation for the development of a world-class high-end equipment manufacturing industrial cluster.
