On the evening of April 22nd, the opening ceremony of the 2023 Miss Tourism World Guangxi Regional Qualifying Competition was held at the Fountain Plaza of One Yard and Two Houses Scenic Area in Lingui district, Guilin. The theme of this event was "Blooming Flowers in Guilin and Selecting Fragrance in Lingui," promoting the competition and Lingui's cultural and tourism resources.
The opening ceremony began with the song and dance performance "Mountain Joy and Water Laughter Welcome Guests," and 12 Miss Tourism World winners from previous years cheered on the participants. Along with the outstanding contestants from the "Guilin Flower Fairy" selection competition, they put on a spectacular catwalk show for the audience. Famous singer and national first-class performer of the China Coal Mine Art Troupe, Luo Ningna, performed the songs "Butterfly Love Flower" and "Enchanting Beautiful Lingui" live, making Lingui a sea of joy that night.
The start of the 2023 Miss Tourism World Guangxi Regional Qualifying Competition in Lingui will also help the "Guilin Flower Fairy" selection competition. The Miss Tourism World winners from previous years arrived in Lingui during the "March 3rd" festival, and together with the contestants from the "Guilin Flower Fairy" selection competition, they attended a banquet featuring the full range of Guilin's fragrant cuisine in the Zaishuiyifang Scenic Area of Wantian. They also danced and sang around the bonfire with local people during the folk carnival, visited scenic spots such as Lingui Shanshui Park, Lu Lake, Pedestrian Street, and Wutong Town's Guilin Flower, and took photos to record their experiences. They toured Lingui's urban area, appreciating its beautiful scenery, and sending out an invitation to welcome guests from all over the world to Lingui.
The Miss Tourism World pageant is an international cultural tourism ambassador selection event and a mature and highly-watched fashion show. The 2023 Miss Tourism World Guangxi Regional Qualifying Competition held in Lingui district merges fashion elements with Lingui's culture, integrates vibrant events with the Guilin Flower brand, and truly helps the construction of the core area of a world-class tourist city. In recent years, Lingui district has formed a new pattern of " tourism breakthroughs, leading the integration of multiple industries" This has further enhanced the reputation of Lingui district and Guilin New District, promoting the high-quality development of cultural tourism.
